Internet disappears on SBS 2003 server - Spiceworks Community

Dear All,

We have a SBS 2003 server with following specifications:

Hardware: HP ProLiant ML350 G4 with 2 x NIC

Software: Windows SBS 2003 Premium Edition – SP2, Exchange 2003 SP2, SQL 2000, SharePoint Services 2.0,

Network Configuration: BT Router with 2MB leased line is connected to External NIC and Switch to Internal NIC - All client machines are connected to switch via a patch panel

Issue: The problem is that from time to time internet disappears, no client machines or server has internet connection. Exchange, both internal and external NICs and all other services seem to work fine. Nothing shows in Event Viewer. Router seems to work fine. Restarting router and switches or unplugguing and plugging in network cables deosn't do anything.

One internet is gone I cannot login to server console, if I try to login it shows the prompt about logging on to the server and gets stuck forever at 'Applying Internet Explorer branding Policy'.
