If the repair did not work then the next step to try would be to reinstall. Reinstalling Microsoft Works will also reinstall the tasks launcher. You need the installation CDs that came with Microsoft Works when you purchased it. If it came pre-installed on your computer, then you will need the CD that came with your computer to reload software. If you have neither of these, you will need to purchase Microsoft Works.
Before you can reinstall Microsoft Works, you need to uninstall the current installation.
Close Microsoft Works if it is open. Click on Start and Control Panel . Click on – Programs and Programs and Features .
Find Microsoft Works in the list and choose Uninstall . If you are prompted with an Administrator password, enter and continue with the uninstallation.
Once the uninstallation is complete reboot, your computer. When your computer boots back up insert the Microsoft Works installation CD into your computer’s CD/DVD drive.
