The only way you can run MS Office 2007 on a Mac would be to install Windows on the Mac. Yes, this is possible, but why bother. You would have to either partition the hard drive using Bootcamp (it comes with the Mac) or buy Parallels or VMWare Fusion for the Mac AND a copy of Windows. (Parallels and VMWare Fusion are virtual machines that let you run Windows on top of the Mac OS). You have a couple more options: you can buy MS Office for the Mac, version 2011 has either just come out or is about to be released. Or you can download the FREE OpenOffice from http://www.openoffice.org . I use OpenOffice on my iMac; it’s also available for Windows, and it can open and save as MS Office files, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
