I have an Acer Laptop that originally had 1G of 667 ram, Vista, 120GB 5400 RPM HDD, 1.7Ghz dual core, 6 cell battery. I've had it for 3 years and have done some upgrades over time. It NOW has, 4GB of 800 ram, Windows 7 OEM, 200GB 7200 RPM HDD, 2.0Ghz dual core (Oc'd to 2.2Ghz), 12 cell battery. Too bad the graphics chip is part of the main board or I'd change that too. EDIT: Whatever you end up buying... wipe it as soon as you get it home and Install a CLEAN copy of Windows 7. All of them come with a bunch of useless crap ware and "free trial this" and "90 days that" on them. The Wife's EeePC had "Trend Internet Security" on it, or something like that and was a pain in the butt to remove. Some of the included programs are just plain useless. Like "WiFi managers" (Ummmm... Windows does that by itself, even XP) and "DVD movie player" (Ummm... hello). I guess they do that so dumb people think they are getting more for the money. Get an OEM...
